Design Options
Creating a Griffin & Wong room in your house involves a few straightforward choices on your part. The 15 designs currently available can be painted on 22 different background colours. There is room to further customize the pieces to match your interior colouring schemes, as the painting team can work with almost any colour from Benjamin Moores colour swatches.
For a special luxuriant feel, designs can also be painted with a gold or silver leaf background, or with burnished antique effect. From your choices we can provide a silkpaper-backed design sample for you to compare against your home’s interior colour and fabric design scheme.
Tailoring the Design to Your Home
Once you have decided on a design and appropriate colouring, you will need to supply us with the exact dimensions of the walls you would like to paper. If there are any unique features on the walls (alcoves, mantles, radiator, light fixtures, etc.), please let us know and we can help you select panels from the design blueprint that will best integrate and accent those features harmoniously.
Each design is constituted from non-repeating design panels 3 feet wide, which extend as far as 60 feet. The panels are designed to exactly merge and hinge together, and there are no inherent difficulties in the application of the papers to wall surface. You will, however, still require the services of a professional hanger to ensure competent project completion. We have prepared an installation guide that will provide your wallpapering professional with detailed information on required care and handling for the papers.
Fee Schedule and Deliverables
The price of a standard 3 foot wide, 10 foot tall panel is set at roughly 390 USD. The cost of the panels varies somewhat depending on height of the panels, and these can range from 4 feet high to 12 feet (with a buffer between design pattern and top/bottom of 1 foot).
Depending on order backlog, we can generally complete your project within 6 to 8 weeks of order date. It is a relatively simple process, but as we aspire to create a unique and handcrafted ambience for your home, we ask also that you provide us with as much information as possible regarding the look you aspire to create.
